There is strong evidence in the literature that CSR plays an important role in increasing the value of the company, especially in ensuring the brand development of the processed product remains strong. Therefore, this research aims to develop a specific focus as well as examine the broad progression of ideas behind the concept through its origins towards brand image based on the implementation of practices and literature that has been available from previous research. Using applications such as R Studio and Microsoft Excel, all information was compiled and analyzed starting from the Scopus database. A total of 292 relevant articles on CSR were collected from researchers, spanning from 1997 to 2022. The bibliometric study using R also focuses on the most influential journals, authors, and articles. This study expresses how the most important aspects of corporate social responsibility in brand development can be combined into a single concept that opens up new areas of research for both the general field of CSR and the newer field of brand development.
Liyana Natasha Lazran Suddin Lada Izaan Jamil Faerozh Madli Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of the Asian Academy of Applied Business (JAAAB) 2024-08-27 2024-08-27 8 45 68 Strategic Entrepreneurship: A Bibliometric Analysis Using R https://jurcon.ums.edu.my/ojums/index.php/JAAAB/article/view/5332
The purpose of this study is to examine the connection between the strategic Entrepreneurship and sustainability using a literature review and bibliometric analysis. The researchers used survey questionnaires and secondary data to collect and gather information. The response rate was 51.4% (n=72), and the questionnaire was usable. The data were collected using a convenient sampling technique and analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and smart PLS (Partial Least Square) version 2.0. The result indicates that 0.615 (61.5%) of the variance in job satisfaction is explained by all the two constructs of intrinsic and extrinsic. There were three hypotheses tested. All hypotheses were strongly supported. The result shows that this organization's relationship between the reward system and job satisfaction is significant. The extrinsic reward system has the greatest influence on job satisfaction. Extrinsic rewards such as yearly bonuses can make the workers feel happy and motivate them to work harder in the future. Any organization should be more concerned with extrinsic reward systems such as salary, bonuses, and any outdoor activity that can show appreciation to the employees to boost their job satisfaction.
Dean Nelson Mojolou Helmina Thomas Toh Pei Sung Faerozh Madli Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of the Asian Academy of Applied Business (JAAAB) 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 8 135 144 Assessing Brand Switching Patterns of Malaysian Pepper Exports https://jurcon.ums.edu.my/ojums/index.php/JAAAB/article/view/5513
This study provides an analysis of the competitive dynamics of pepper exports, focusing on key rival exporting countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The research encompasses vital export markets, including China and the USA, employing a structured brand-switching framework to identify shifts in consumer preferences for analogous products and brands. The brand-switching study operates under the assumption of consistent market dimensions throughout the study, where every customer transaction involves exposure to the complete array of evaluated products with a uniform transaction quantity. The forthcoming analysis aims to explore brand competitiveness in specific market contexts, acknowledging the term ‘brand’ to encompass exporting countries, in line with international trade conventions regarding pepper products. The research delves into two distinct forms of pepper products sourced from the Piper genus: neither crushed nor ground pepper (HS090411) and crushed or ground pepper (HS090412). These types wield significant influence in global trade. Furthermore, it presents a comprehensive overview spanning the entire temporal span from 2001 to 2018, enhancing the depth of analytical insights. For Malaysia to maintain its global competitiveness, it is imperative to minimize brand switching. Achieving this necessitates the implementation of a robust marketing strategy for pepper products, encompassing assertive publicity efforts and active participation in international trade shows.
Jurin Gunsalam Wong Hock Tsen Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of the Asian Academy of Applied Business (JAAAB) 2024-10-20 2024-10-20 8 The Role of Organizational Culture in the Implementation of Lean Tools Towards Operational Performance in an Aerospace Company https://jurcon.ums.edu.my/ojums/index.php/JAAAB/article/view/5514
The global marketplace has undergone a significant transition that characterizes industry in the twenty-first century. Delivering high-quality products quickly drives manufacturers to optimize their operations, manufacturing processes, and all potential supply chain nodes. This is due to intense global competition, quick technological change, advances in manufacturing and information technology, and discerning customers. To obtain a competitive edge, the pursuit of this optimization has increased the need for faster product creation, more flexible production, waste reduction, better process control, effective workforce use, and worldwide reach. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of organizational culture in the implementation of lean tools toward operational performance in an aerospace company. The study is based on a survey conducted and data collected from an aerospace company located in Melaka. 346 targeted respondents from the aerospace company ranging from the executive to non-executive levels familiar with lean were involved in this study. SmartPLS 3.0 software was to test all the hypotheses. The findings indicated that lean tool implementation had a positive relationship with operational performance and organizational culture. However, organizational culture did not show any relationship with lean tools and operational performance. By offering information that will increase the success rate of lean tool implementation or make an aerospace firm more competitive, this study may benefit companies that are currently applying lean tools.
Farah Nadhirah Md Lazi Suraya Ahmad Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of the Asian Academy of Applied Business (JAAAB) 2024-10-20 2024-10-20 8 153 161
