Abstract

This bibliometric analysis aims to examine the research exposure on the hot issue of the green economy and subsequently how the macroeconomic indicators play a crucial role in its reformation. In order to the analysis, this study uses the Scopus database, and there is no limit applied to the historical data which started from 1992 to Feb 2022. The outcomes of this study suggest little work done to date on the green economy across the globe, however, it is witnessed some work on green investment, trade, and the COVID-19 pandemic. It is vital to note that to date, there is a significant gap in the existing literature on the issues of oil prices volatility and its transmission impact on the green economy, COVID19 role in the production side of the export-led growth economies, and last not the least, the role of agriculture to enhance the green environment through environmental mitigation mechanism is a crucial area to explore.
