This year, we have chosen ‘Communication and Industrial Revolution 4.0’ as the theme of the convention. This theme is timely and warrants thorough discussion among the participants. We would like to encourage participants to explore the endless possibilities of communication and the industrial revolution 4.0
As in the previous convention, the organizer has decided to maintain the range of topics to be discussed throughout the convention. Kindly refer to the attached poster for the list of topics.

Location and Venue of the Conference
The conference will take place at the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Heritage Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). The UMS campus is 14 Kilometres from the City Centre of Kota Kinabalu.
Kota Kinabalu is the capital city of Sabah, Malaysia. (www.sabahtourism.com) For international participants, Kota Kinabalu can be reached by air through Kuala Lumpur although there are several direct international flights to Kota Kinabalu. From Kuala Lumpur there are three major airlines that fly to Kota Kinabalu every day; Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air & Air Asia.
There are also airlines such as Royal Brunei, Singapore Airlines, Silk Air, Xiamen Airlines, Batik Air, China Southern Flight and Philipines Air Asia flying directly to Kota Kinabalu.
Conference fees
Kindly refer to the poster for the details of conference fees. The fees are inclusive of a two- year membership with the Pacific and Asian Communication Association (PACA) worth USD30.00, one welcoming dinner, morning and afternoon tea break, as well as lunch throughout the convention, half day city tour and conference kits.
Myeung Seok Park’s Award
As in the previous convention, the above award will be given to the selected best papers / best presenters. However, to be eligible for the awards, you must submit the full paper to the organizer by 28th May 2018.
Language and Mode of presentation
We strongly recommend that English language is to be used in the presentation and only oral presentation is accepted.
Post Conference Publication
The organizer will be publishing selected papers in four (4) indexed journals. Kindly refer to the poster for the list of journals. The costs of publication are included in the conference fees.
Post Conference Tour
The convention is purposely organised to begin at mid-week so that it will end by the weekend. This is to facilitate the post-conference tour. The post-conference tour should be arranged with the local tour agents by the participants themselves. We will invite several tour agents to open their booth at the conference venue.
Kota Kinabalu is strategically located around the tourist spots in Sabah. It is only one and half hour drive to the World Heritage Site of Kinabalu National Park where the famous Mt Kinabalu is located. There are also several beautiful islands which are 15 minutes boat ride from the Jesselton Point Jetty of Kota Kinabalu. (www.sabahtourism.com)
