Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

 

Abstract Submission:

The abstract should highlight the salient points of the paper and a maximum of 5 keywords should also be included at the bottom of the abstract. The abstract should be typed in MS WORD format with margins of 1-inch on sides, 1.5 inches on top and bottom, using 12-point Tahoma font.

 

Full Paper Submission:

All submissions should be written in English or Malay with a maximum paper length of six (6) printed pages including illustrations, figures and tables

The title page should include:

  • A concise and informative title
  • The name(s) of the author(s)
  • The affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s)
  • The e-mail address of the corresponding author(s)

Manuscripts should be submitted in Word.

  • Use a normal, plain font (e.g., 10-point Tahoma) for text.
  • Use italics for emphasis.
  • Use the automatic page numbering function to number the pages.
  • Do not use field functions.
  • Use tab stops or other commands for indents, not the space bar.
  • Use the table function, not spreadsheets, to make tables.
  • Save your file in docx format (Word 2007 or higher)

 

Paper Presentation:

Papers presented must adhere to previously approved abstracts. Presenters are allocated approximately twenty (20) minutes to explain the salient points of their study. Presenters may utilize PowerPoint in order to be concise.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point Tahoma font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  6. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.
