We are delighted to announce that the first international conference on politics and international studies in Sabah will be organised by Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). This conference is a collaboration between Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge & Language and the Faculty of Humanities, Arts & Heritage. The conference organisers invite posters and relevant papers to the theme of the conference “Globalisation at the Crossroad? The Revival of Nationalism and Identity Politics”. In line with the theme of the conference, the organisers call for papers in the following, but not limited to, the sub-themes below:
Malaysian Politics
International Relations and Security
Terrorism and Counter-terrorism
Democracy, Civil Society and Human Rights
Nationalism and Politics of Identity
Globalism, Regionalism and Countervailing Tendencies

Registration and Methods of Payment
We invite participants to register and submit their abstracts to the secretariat via email (icpis2018@gmail.com). Payment of the conference fees shall be made via the official conference website.
Abstract (Paper and Poster) Submission:
Abstract of one page, typed single-spaced (maximum 300 words) should be submitted in an attached file via email to the following email address: icpis2018@gmail.com for review and selection. The abstract should highlight the salient points of the paper and a maximum of 5 keywords should also be included at the bottom of the abstract. The abstract should be typed in MS WORD format with margins of 1-inch on sides, 1.5 inches on top and bottom, using 12-point Tahoma font.
Publications
The selected papers will be published in the following journals as special edition:
- MANU
- KINABALU
Selected papers of relevant themes will also be considered for publication in the form of edited volumes by reputable international publishing houses.
