Pengaruh Konflik Kerja dan Keluarga terhadap Kepuasan Keibubapaan dalam Kalangan Ibu Bekerja

Abstract

Perubahan peranan dalam institusi keluarga merupakan satu fenomena yang semakin kelihatan terutamanya dalam kalangan wanita, di mana golongan ini bukan sahaja memainkan peranan sebagai seorang ibu tetapi juga sebagai pekerja. Pada umumnya, kelaziman konflik peranan kerja dan keluarga pada masa kini berlaku disebabkan peningkatan penglibatan wanita dalam bidang pekerjaan (Irwan Nadzif Maphul & Nor Azian Abdullah, 2011). Oleh itu kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan konflik kerja dan keluarga dengan kepuasan keibubapaan. Konflik kerja dan keluarga dilihat melalui dua dimensi iaitu konflik kerja-keluarga dan konflik keluarga-kerja. Kajian ini dijalankan dalam kalangan 105 orang ibu bekerja dalam bidang pentadbiran di salah satu universiti awam di Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Soal selidik Work-Family And Family-Work Conflict Survey dan The Satisfaction with Parent Role Scale digunakan dalam kajian ini. Data yang diperolehi telah dianalisis dengan regresi mudah menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara konflik kerja dan keluarga terhadap kepuasan keibubapaan. Keputusan ini menjelaskan konflik kerja-keluarga yang tinggi meramal kepuasan keibubapaan yang rendah dalam kalangan ibu bekerja. Implikasi kajian juga dibincangkan dalam kertas kerja ini.
