Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Authors Guidelines for Malaysian Journal of Business and Economics (MJBE)

Please read and follow the instructions given below carefully: by doing so it will ensure that the publication of your manuscripts is rapidly processed and efficient. The publisher has the right to return manuscripts that are not prepared in accordance with these instructions. 

Submission of Manuscripts

Authors should submit word files by the Open Jpurnal System or by using the Chief Editor's e-mail if possible:

Permission

The author's papers are given open access in accordance to our open access policy in order for the article to be widely disseminated.  It would be preferable if the author's could register themselves in advance for our record purpose.  Work submitted for publication must be original , previously unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. If previously published figures, tables or parts of text are to be included, the copyright holder's permission must have been obtained prior to submission. 

Cover Letter 

All submissions should be accompanied by a cover letter that includes a brief overview of the manuscript and the corresponding and contacting author, contact information including full name, e-mail address, phone number and mailing address (corresponding author and the contacting author).  It should also specify the number of display items (figures and tables), the number of attachments (manuscript, figures, supplementary information if any) and their formats. 

It must include a statement indicating that the article has not been published in another publication and is not being submitted simultaneously to another journal. 

Preparation for the manuscript

General: Papers must be clearly written in English.

Type the Title of Your Manuscript

(the title should not be more than 150 words and bold/ size font is 14 and bold)/ Times Roman)

Author's name / institution of affliation/ email (use font 12 Times Roman)

ABSTRACT (should be placed in the middle/ capital letter/bold and should not exceed 200 words/font size 11)

The abstract should stand alone, means that no. citation in abstract.  The abstract should concisely inform the reader of the manuscript's purpose, its methods, its findings and its value.  The abstract should be relatively non-technical, yet clear enough for an informed reader to understand the manuscript's contribution.  The manuscript's title, but neither the author's name nor other identification designations, should appear on the abstract page.

Tables and Figures

1. Use font size 10

2. The charts and graphs must be centered and titled should be at the top.

3. Number all tables and figures with Arabic numerals in the order in which the tables are first mentioned in text.

4. The illustration and the photographs must be centered.

5. Capitalize captions

End Notes

1. End notes should be kept to a minimum.

2. Use single spacing and font size 10.

References

References should be complete and follow the APA style. Examples:-

For periodicals
