Focus and Scope

Gendang Alam is issued twice a year by the Academy of Arts and Creative Technology at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. The primary objective of the journal is to publish manuscripts based on scholarly or academic studies in the field of arts, which includes folklore, indigenous art, craft, contemporary art theories and genres, technological art, multimedia, animation, fashion, creative writing, literature, drama, dance, theatre, and music.

Gendang Alam diterbitkan dua kali setahun oleh Akademi Seni dan Teknologi Kreatif, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Matlamat utama jurnal ini adalah untuk menerbitkan manuskrip berdasarkan penyelidikan yang dijalankan oleh sarjana, ahli akademik, atau penyelidik dalam bidang seni yang merangkumi cerita rakyat, seni tradisi, kraf, teori dan genre seni kontemporari, seni teknologi, multimedia, animasi, fesyen, penulisan kreatif, sastera, drama, tarian, teater dan muzik.

Peer Review Process

Journal's peer review policy and processes for readers and authors include the number of reviewers typically used in reviewing a submission, the criteria by which reviewers are asked to judge submissions, the typical time taken to conduct the reviews, and the principles for recruiting reviewers.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
