The spread of a new and dangerous pandemic outbreak of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) which is a new strain of Coronavirus has shocked the whole world. Based on information obtained from the website of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), the disease is transmitted from individual to individual through respiratory droplets or contact and the disease is a viral family that causes various diseases from the flu to more serious diseases such as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV. This respiratory disease was first detected in Wuhan, China in December 2019. After China, the disease has spread worldwide and the Malaysian Government has taken several steps in an effort to curb the COVID-19 epidemic from spreading in the country. Among the steps taken by the government is through a public awareness campaign by the MOH which has been implemented during the Movement Control Order (MCO). The Stay-at-Home campaign is one of the public awareness campaigns introduced with the hope that this infectious disease chain can be broken. This study was conducted to see the effect of the message in the Stay-at-Home Campaign on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of Malaysian society, especially in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Thus, based on KAP Theory (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice), a pilot study was conducted on 30 respondents randomly selected using online questionnaire instruments (Google Form) around Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The results show that the majority of the community in Kota Kinabalu complies with the instructions of MCO and obeys the instructions to stay at home. Through the organized Stay-at-Home Campaign, the community agreed to instructions to work and study from home to protect themselves and their families from being infected with the COVID-19 virus.
