Abstract

(This article examines the adaptation of history education in the 21st century through the integration of technology and critical thinking skills. The methodology used is a literature content analysis and selected classroom case studies. The study highlights specific tools such as Learning Management Systems (Google Classroom, Moodle), historical simulation applications (TimeMaps, ChronoZoom), and digital archives (Europeana, National Archives, JSTOR) that enhance interactive learning and historical understanding. It emphasizes the importance of engaging students in analyzing evidence, evaluating sources, and constructing arguments to strengthen reflective thinking and digital literacy. The findings suggest that while technology offers great opportunities for collaborative and deep learning, effective integration requires adequate training and support for educators. Ultimately, combining technology with critical thinking prepares students to navigate the complexities of history and develop the analytical skills essential for active 21st century citizenship.)
