(The level of psychological well-being which includes positive dimensions such as self-acceptance and environmental mastery, is recognised as a protective factor in the rehabilitation of delinquent adolescents. However, much of the existing literature tends to focus more on the negative aspects of delinquency, with less emphasis on examining psychological well-being as an indicator of adolescents’ strengths and their potential for positive development. Therefore, this cross-sectional study was conducted to examine the level of psychological well-being among 296 delinquent adolescents selected through stratified random sampling from six Sekolah Tunas Bakti across Peninsular Malaysia. The findings revealed that the majority of respondents (92.9%) demonstrated a high level of psychological well-being. Inferential analysis further showed no significant difference in well-being between male (M = 72.73) and female adolescents (M = 72.58), t(199) = .067, p > .05. The results suggest that gender is not a primary determinant of psychological well-being in this context. Overall, the study highlights the importance of maintaining emphasis on the development of psychological well-being as a core component of rehabilitation interventions regardless of gender to support more effective social reintegration.)
