Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti pendekatan kecerdasan pelbagai terhadap pencapaian murid Tingkatan Dua dalam topik 'Dunia Melalui Deria Kita'. Sampel kajian adalah seramai 60 orang murid Tingkatan Dua iaitu seramai 30 orang murid bagi kumpulan eksperimen iaitu murid yang mengikuti rancangan pelajaran yang terancang berdasarkan pendekatan kecerdasan pelbagai dan 30 orang murid lagi bagi kumpulan kawalan yang mengikuti pengajaran secarà, konvensional. Untuk mengenal pasti kesan jenis pendekatan pengajaran terhadap pencapaian murid, ujian pra bagi topik 'Dunia Melalui Deria Kita' ditadbir sebelum rawatan dijalankan. Manakala, ujian pasca bagi topik yang sama pula ditadbir selepas rawatan dijalankan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Analisis Kovarians (ANCOVA). Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa pendekatan kecerdasan pelbagai berkesan dalam meningkatkan pencapaian murid dalam topik 'Dunia Melalui Deria Kita'. Justeru, guru-guru disarankan untuk melaksanakan pengajaran Sains dengan mengambil kira kecerdasan murid yang pelbagai melalui pendekatan kecerdasan pelbagai.

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the Multiple Intelligences approach on Form Two students’ achievement in the topic “The World Through Our Senses.” The study sample consisted of 60 Form Two students, comprising 30 students in the experimental group who participated in a structured lesson plan based on the Multiple Intelligences approach and another 30 students in the control group who received conventional instruction. To determine the effect of the instructional approach on students’ achievement, a pre-test on the topic “The World Through Our Senses” was administered before the intervention, while a post-test on the same topic was administered after the intervention. Data were analysed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The findings indicated that the Multiple Intelligences approach was effective in improving students’ achievement in the topic “The World Through Our Senses.” Therefore, teachers are encouraged to implement Science instruction by taking into consideration students’ diverse intelligences through the Multiple Intelligences approach.
