Individual with autism is a group that experience neurological disorder that causes parts of his brain cells to fail in functioning well. From the aspect of neurological development, they face physical changes similar with typical individual but their mind fails to control abstract matter that relates to feelings and instincts caused them to unconsciously show off sexual behavior that are against society norms and parts of it is against the law. However, the sexual behaviour can be controlled if they are given early intervention. The objective of this study is to identify the intervention applied
by teachers that are involved with autism students in controlling their sexual behavior. The framework of this research is qualitative with the technic of content analysis and semi structure interview with respondents who are teachers that are involved with autistic children. The limitation of this research is to study intervention towards sexual behaviour of children with autism through the interviewed teachers’ observations. Data gathered are analyzed descriptively and thematically, through themes structured through principles of keywords from data and keywords description principles.
The research outcomes discover that the respondents suggested that the children intervention should be started early and continuously. Among the intervention enforced by the respondents towards children with autism is continuous early intervention, repetitive prevention, removing focus to other subject matter and through social story. The research implication discovers that children with autism that understand and are capable of following instruction is capable of controlling sexual behaviour if they are expose to early intervention through specific method. The effectiveness of the intervention depends on the continuous supports and co-operation between teachers and parents and guardians of children with autism.
