Author Guidelines

Guidelines for submissions

All manuscripts submitted for consideration must fully comply with the journal’s author guidelines.

Articles should be written in clear, concise, and accurate English. Authors may use either British or American English, but the chosen style must be applied consistently throughout the manuscript. All submissions must be carefully proofread before submission. The Editors reserve the right to revise the style of manuscripts to ensure consistency with the journal’s standards.

Manuscripts should be prepared using the official template provided by the journal. The submission file should be in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document format. Authors are strongly encouraged to use Microsoft Word format where the official template is provided.

The text should be single-spaced, use a 12-point font, and employ italics rather than underlining, except for URL addresses. Figures, tables, and illustrations must be placed within the main manuscript at the appropriate points and must not be submitted separately or placed only at the end of the document.

Articles should be between 8,000 - 10,000 words, including figures and tables. Authors should note that each figure or table is considered equivalent to approximately 300 words.

Required Submission Files

Manuscript submission must include three separate files based on the journal templates: (1) Title Page (2) Blinded Manuscript and (3) Signed Declaration by Authors

For double-anonymous review, the Blinded Manuscript must not contain any author-identifying information. This includes names, affiliations, acknowledgements, author notes, self-identifying metadata, funding statements that reveal identity, or any other details that may disclose authorship. All author information must appear only in the Title Page file.

Detailed requirements for each file are provided in the mandatory templates. Authors must ensure that all required information is completed in the appropriate template before submission.

Authors must prepare their submission using the following mandatory templates:

  1. TITLE PAGE TEMPLATE
  2. BLINDED MANUSCRIPT TEMPLATE
  3. DECLARATION BY AUTHORS TEMPLATE

Manuscript Quality and Review Criteria

Several key aspects are considered in determining whether an article is suitable for acceptance:

  • Is the article prepared and formatted in accordance with the journal’s guidelines?
  • Are the objectives and/or research questions clear and objective?
  • Are the relevant concepts required to understand the work clearly identified and defined?
  • Does the work improve understanding of a specific subject?
  • Does the article include an appropriate number of references?
  • Are the approaches, methods, procedures, and techniques used appropriate to the objectives and research questions?
  • Are the main conclusions properly justified?
  • Does the article make a new and meaningful contribution to the existing literature, either in theory or in practice?
  • Has the author provided proper citations for all sources used?

Authors are expected to describe the knowledge base and theoretical foundations underlying their research. They should also demonstrate why and how the findings presented in the article are relevant. A clear demonstration of the article’s added value is essential for acceptance for publication.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should present a coherent scholarly structure. It should normally include a title, abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and references.

  • The title should be concise, informative, and relevant to the focus of the study.
  • The abstract should summarise the purpose of the study, research method, key findings, implications, and originality or value of the article.
  • The introduction should explain the research background, problem statement, research gap, objectives, and research questions.
  • The literature review should discuss relevant theories, concepts, and previous studies. It should show how the manuscript contributes to existing knowledge.
  • The methodology section should describe the research design, sample or participants, data collection procedures, instruments, and data analysis techniques. The method must be appropriate to the research objectives and questions.
  • The results and discussion section should present findings clearly and interpret them in relation to the research questions, literature, and theoretical framework.
  • The conclusion should summarise the main findings, contribution, implications, limitations, and recommendations for future research.
  • References

All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the text. Where available, URLs or DOI links for references should be provided. Authors must ensure that all citations and references follow the stylistic and bibliographic requirements stated by the journal.

Originality and Ethical Compliance

Submitted manuscripts must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal or publication outlet. If the manuscript, or any part of it, has appeared previously in another form, authors must provide a clear explanation in Comments to the Editor.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript complies with accepted standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate image manipulation, ghost authorship, guest authorship, and undisclosed conflicts of interest are not acceptable.

All listed authors must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the manuscript and must approve the submitted version.

Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools

Authors must disclose the use of artificial intelligence tools where such tools have contributed to drafting, editing, translating, data processing, coding, analysis, or content generation. AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, validity, and ethical compliance of the manuscript. AI-generated content must be checked carefully and supported by appropriate evidence, reasoning, and citation.
