MANUSCRIPTS/MANUSKRIP
The JBA Chief Editor welcomes the submission of manuscripts on any subject within that definition. Submissions that announce discoveries and present new information, or explore new theoretical ground are especially welcome, as are articles that deal with methodological issues, or analysis of material culture, cultural heritage, society, economy, social, politic, tourism, civilization, development and nation building. In addition to articles, the JBA publishes field reports and book reviews on the archaeology and history of Borneo and its adjacent islands. Manuscripts submitted to the JBA are reviewed by appropriate experts without exception. While JBA Editorial Board members often serve as reviewers, manuscripts are also screened by outside experts. Most submissions are read by two scholars (internal and external) in addition to the Chief Editor.
All article must follow the guidelines below:
• The text formatting of the article manuscripts must be in Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx).
• Tahoma 11 for text.
• 1.5 line spacing.
• Italics to emphasize words or expressions.
• The title should with a maximum of 8 words.
• The name of the author(s).
• The affiliation and e-mail address of the author(s).
• Abstrak (Malay).
• Asbtract (English).
• Provide 4-5 keywords.
The abstract should be a single paragraph of about between 150 and 200 words and placed on its own page, before the first page of your article. Along with the abstract, should provide 4-5 keywords that will be used for indexing purposes.
The length of articles in most academic journals are not more than 20 pages in A4 size
The footnotes include the citation of reference and can also be used to give additional information that may include a reference described in the bibliographic list. Without endnotes. The name of journal and title of book should be italicized.
Cite references in the footnotes for journal: Author Full Name, Topic, Name of Journal, Volume Number, (Series), Year of Publication, Pages.
Cite references in the footnotes for book: Author Full Name, Title, Place of Publication: Name of Publisher, Year of Publication, Pages.
Ketua Editor JBA mengalu-alukan penyerahan manuskrip tentang mana-mana subjek dalam lingkungan definisi berkenaan. Penyerahan manuskrip yang mengisytiharkan penemuan dan menyajikan maklumat baharu, atau meneroka landasan teoritik yang baru adalah sangat dialu-alukan, begitu juga makalah yang merungkai isu metodologi, atau analisis budaya benda, warisan budaya, masyarakat, ekonomi, sosial, politik, pelancongan, tamadun, pembangunan dan pembinaan negara bangsa. Selain makalah, JBA juga menerbitkan laporan lapangan dan ulasan buku terkini mengenai arkeologi dan sejarah Borneo dan pulau di sekitarnya. Manuskrip yang diserahkan kepada JBA adalah tidak terkecuali daripada penilaian oleh pakar. Walaupun ahli Lembaga Editor adalah lumrah menjadi penilai, manuskrip juga ditapis oleh pakar dari luar. Kebanyakan makalah adalah dinilai oleh dua sarjana (dalaman dan luaran) sebagai tambahan kepada Ketua Editor.
Semua manuskrip hendaklah mengikut garis panduan di bawah:
• Format teks manuskrip mestilah dalam Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx).
• Tahoma 11 untuk teks.
• Jarak baris 1.0 (satu langkau)
• Italik untuk menegaskan perkataan atau ungkapan asing daripada bahasa utama teks.
• Tajuk perlu dengan maksimum 8 perkataan.
• Nama penulis.
• Afiliasi dan alamat e-mel penulis.
• Abstrak (Bahasa Melayu).
• Asbtract (English).
• Menyediakan 4-5 Kata Kunci.
Abstrak harus ditulis dalam satu perenggan, iaitu antara 150 dan 200 perkataan dan ditempatkan pada halaman yang tersendiri, sebelum halaman pertama makalah anda. Berserta dengan abstrak, pengarang perlu menyediakan 4-5 kata kunci yang digunakan untuk tujuan pengindeksan.
Nota kaki merangkumi kutipan rujukan dan juga boleh digunakan untuk memberi maklumat tambahan termasuk rujukan yang dinyatakan dalam senarai bibliografi. Tanpa nota akhir. Nama jurnal dan judul buku harus diitalikkan.
Kutipan rujukan dalam nota kaki untuk jurnal: Nama Penuh Penulis, Tajuk, Nama Jurnal, Nombor Jilid, Tahun Penerbitan, Halaman.
Untuk buku: Nama Penuh Penulis, Judul, Tempat Penerbitan: Nama Penerbit, Tahun Penerbitan, Halaman.

The list of references will only include works that are cited in the text. The list must be alphabetized by the surname of the author or the first author of each work. The name of journal and title of book should be italicized.

List references for book: Author Surname. Year of Publication. Title. Place of Publication: Name of Publisher.
Daftar rujukan hanya akan mencakupi karya yang dikutip dalam teks sahaja. Daftar harus dalam susunan abjad dengan nama keluarga penulis atau penulis pertama atau penulis pertama setiap karya. Nama jurnal dan judul buku harus diitalikkan.

BOOK REVIEW/ULASAN BUKU
All parties interested in reviewing books for this journal should contact the Chief Editor by e-mail. Standard book reviews should be no longer than ten (10) pages.
Book reviews should consider the following:
• The intended audience for the book and who would find it useful.
• The main ideas of the book and how effectively these are accomplished.
• Constructive comments about the strength and weaknesses of the book.
The following information should be given about the book being reviewed at the start of each review:
Author/Editor Name. Book Title. Place of Publication: Name of Publisher. Year of Publication. ISBN. Number of Pages. Price.
Book title should be italicized.

Semua pihak yang berminat dalam mengulas buku untuk jurnal ini perlu menghubungi Ketua Editor melalui e-mel. Ulasan buku yang standard harus tidak melebihi sepuluh (10) halaman. Maklumat berikut perlu diberikan tentang buku yang diulaskan pada permulaan setiap ulasan:
Ulasan buku perlu mengambil kira perkara yang berikut:
• Sasaran pembaca buku dan golongan yang akan memanfaatkannya.
• Idea utama dan sejauhmana impaknya.
• Penjelasan yang membina berkenaan kekuatan dan kelemahan buku.
Nama Penulis/Editor, Judul Buku, Tempat Penerbitan dan Nama Penerbit, Tahun Penerbitan, ISBN, Jumlah Halaman, Harga.
Judul buku harus diitalikkan.
