Repository Policy

The Borneo International Journal of Education (BIJE) outlines its repository policy for manuscripts at different stages of publication as follows:

1. Submitted Version

BIJE permits authors to retain copies of their submitted manuscripts in private repositories or personal cloud storage services that are not publicly accessible, including but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and iCloud.

2. Accepted Version

BIJE permits authors to retain copies of their accepted manuscripts, following peer review and editorial acceptance, in private repositories or personal cloud storage services that are not publicly accessible, including but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and iCloud.

3. Published Version

BIJE permits authors to deposit and share the final published version of their articles, including the official PDF, in institutional repositories, personal academic websites, and other scholarly repositories immediately upon publication.

Published articles may be accessed and used, including for commercial purposes, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and BIJE as the original source of publication. Authors must include the complete bibliographic citation and the DOI or official article URL, where available.

4. Retracted Articles

In the event of retraction, authors must ensure that any deposited versions under their control are clearly identified as retracted and linked to the official retraction notice. Where direct updates are not possible, authors must notify the relevant repository administrators to ensure that the retraction status is appropriately reflected.
